It is hoped that in time, this page will be filled with the stories of peoples own examples of how mental health has affected them. Fot there is no doubt now, that it affects so many. Either directly, or indirectly.

1 in 4 of us will suffer some form of mental health issue at some time.

So chances are it’s going to be a factor in our lives at some point.

So the BIG BALLS FOUNDATION main aim is to raise money and awareness for mental health and give support to the many charities and inititatives that help people with their mental health issues.

Some stories will be hard to read. Living a life after a loved one has taken theirs is incredibly painful for those left behind.
We hope that by writing those testimonies, those that are left behind can gain strength from it and offer hope to others affected by suicide.

But there will be happy stories too. Of overcoming mental health problems.
There are many people who have managed, or confronted their mental health issues and got the help they needed to learn to live with this illness. And their stories of overcoming those issues we hope will inspire others to speak out and get that help and to not go down the dark path.

Mental health awareness has risen tenfold in the last few years. Which is great. But suicide rates are still on the increase, among the under 25s for instance. So there is still alot of work to do to breakdown the stigma and shame percieved by too many when it comes to mental health.

So if you have arrived here by word of mouth, or reading a beermat in a pub, or are about to buy a bottle of BIG BALLS GIN, and feel you have something to say about your own experience with mental health…
PLEASE DO.

Send in total confidence to jay@bigballsfoundation.com

You could well be helping someone else suffering right now.
